We select and sell farmhouse cheeses from across the British Isles, working with around 25 cheese makers. The British cheeses we sell are matured in Bermondsey, London by a team who ensures quality and that the produce is at its best upon arrival to Blacks Corner.
In addition to our cheeses we have built a British artisan charcuterie menu around breeds that are free range or wild to celebrate this new food tradition. All of our cured meat produce comes direct from farms via Borough Market, London where you can on occasion find our Blacks Corner market stall.
Flavour leads the way when we select our British farm cheeses & cured meats, we always encourage customers to ask for samples to taste some of the amazing produce before ordering. We only source from producers that believe that animals should be ethically and sustainably reared.
Blacks Corner can be found at 1 St Bedes East Boldon. We have our Deli & Bakehouse which is located at 1 St John Terrace, East Boldon in addition to blackscorner.co.uk. Now in our 4th year, Blacks Corner has a wealth of nominations for both design and dining recognition. Notably as a finalist for a Northern Design Award in 2017 and nominated for the international category award of ‘Surface Interiors’ at the Bar & Restaurant Design Awards in 2018. We celebrate multiple Diners Choice awards now striving for a Rosette rating for our use of local and British ingredients.
