Our British Farmhouse cheeses are selected for their flavour and high quality. We select and sell cheeses we love and build cheese selections that are flavour led.
Every cheese in your order will be hand-cut and wrapped by our team of Deli Chefs in East Boldon:
Isle of Mull Cheddar - (T) Cow’s Milk –Made by The Reade Family near Tobermory, Isle of Mull, Scotland
A hearty Scottish Cheddar with a firm, fondant-like texture that tends to be slightly more compact than the other Cheddars we sell. Flavours range from juicy and zesty to boozy and deeply savoury
Cotherstone – (V)(P) Cow’s Milk - Made by John Cross in Durham
From the last remaining producer of this ‘Dales Style’ territorial cheese – with a fresh, milky taste and bouncy citrus notes
Devon Blue – (V)(P) Cow’s Milk - Made by Ben Harris near Totnes, Devon
A sweet and mellow blue cheese from Devon, with a caramelly – and occasionally lightly spicy – flavour profile and a pleasingly dense, fudgy texture that even blue cheese sceptics are likely to love.
Hawes Wensleydale – (T)(P) Cow’s Milk - Made at The Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes, North Yorkshire
This recipe harks back to more traditional Wensleydale-making methods. Its texture is less crumbly and its flavour more buttery than many examples of Wensleydale more widely available today.
Ticklemore– (P)(V) Made by Debbie Mumford on the Sharpham Estate, Devon
Ticklemore combines light and gently lemony flavours with herbaceous notes that deepen with age and reveals a firm, chalky texture beneath its stark white rind.
